Leia Ahmed is a graphic designer and dancer based in Adelaide, originally from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. Since moving to Australia in 2019, she has continued to build parallel creative practices that inform one another. With over twelve years of dance experience and more than six years teaching, Leia has developed her practice through performance, competition, collaboration and community, grounded by a deep appreciation for the relationship between music, movement and human expression. For her, dance is ultimately about connection to enjoy, to express and to feel.

Alongside her movement practice, Leia works as a graphic designer specialising in branding, motion graphics and visual storytelling. Drawn to both digital and tactile forms of making, she is interested in creating experiences that invite people to engage beyond the visual. Whether leading the creative direction for her dance crew's showcase or designing within the studio, Leia approaches every project with curiosity, intention and a belief that creativity has the power to transform everyday moments into meaningful experiences.
