Chloe Katopodis

Designing beyond the desk

Graphic Designer

With a background in Visual Communication, design makes its way through all aspects of Chloe Katopodis’ work and life through various channels. In some traditional pathways, it’s taken the form of working in design studios, education roles, freelancing, passion projects and being part of the AGDA SA committee.

On more ‘scenic routes’, the act of designing becomes interwoven with storytelling, advocacy, strategy, and art, such as volunteering to start up Neoléa, a platform to connect young Greek-Australians, or co-founding The Salty Greek to share her family’s seasoning blend.

She thrives in the convergence of creativity, cultural exploration, community, cooking and crafts. The journey may be filled with detours and stops along the way, but in that lies the strength of having multifaceted insights, a diverse set of skills, and a sense of adventure.

Most of her work is done in the ‘in between moments’ and using whatever space to work wherever possible: a community hall, her kitchen, a waiting room, the cafe next to the laundromat, more often than not her bed, and, yes, sometimes, a desk.”
